Just as children are painting their rainbows of hope and support to the NHS, key workers and the nation, here are some colourful abstract images to break away from the dourness of these times...
I created these back in January? at the art group. This was a session experimenting with alcohol inks, which spread out just how they like on non-porous surfaces. The colours can be diluted (with another alcohol base?) which moves the inks around, but otherwise you have little control over the patterns they make. I wasn't going to post these little, fun experiments - certainly no masterpieces! - ordinarily; but as mentioned above, it just adds a bit of cheery colour and light (to my day, if nobody else's)...
All on small non-porous card (fish on foil). Needless to say about the first one; the second, by total 'happy accident' ended up looking like a feline face; the third I chose more nature-y colours; bottom left a mix of sun and earthy ground?; the final is more of the space, galaxy appearance, packing on the colours and dilute. The bits of card managed to stick together on transit to add an extra - erm - pattern to the pictures.
Hoping for some more light and positivity by the time of my next post...
