100 years later, and still we remember WWI, along with WWII and other conflicts since. Thinking of Britain alone, who was not affected by the 'Great War' in some way? These were our relatives involved at the time -- whether they had to go and serve their country or keep things ticking over at home, etc. -- this would have an effect which would follow down the line and inform who and where we are now. 100 years seems such a long time and yet it is really something when you realise that there are still people living, who, whilst to young to have fought, did experience it from the home life and can still recall those days.
